A Life Devoted to Healing & Human Flourishing
My path to Reiki was not a detour — it was a destination my whole life had been quietly pointing toward.
For over three decades I have worked at the intersection of human potential and healing. As a practitioner with a Master's degree in Art Therapy, I have long understood that healing happens in the whole person — body, mind, emotion, and spirit. That understanding deepened through my training in Positive Psychology, my years of yoga and mindfulness practice, and ultimately, through Reiki itself.
Since 1994 I have led organizations and people through transformation — including twenty years as a CEO. I know what it means to hold space for others to grow, to change, and to step into their fullest selves. That experience shapes every class I teach: structured enough to feel safe, spacious enough to feel sacred.
I practice Reiki every week — on others and on myself — because I believe a Reiki teacher must be a Reiki practitioner first. When you come into my classroom, you are held by someone who has studied the science of well-being, the art of facilitation, and the quiet wisdom of energy work.
I am new to teaching Reiki. I am not new to healing, to learning, or to guiding others home to themselves.

What is Holy Fire® Reiki?
Holy Fire® Reiki is an evolution of the Usui Reiki tradition — introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) and now in its third evolution: Usui/Holy Fire® III.
The word "Holy" here does not refer to any religion. It comes from the Latin sanctus — meaning whole, complete, and healed. Holy Fire® is a spiritually guided energy of remarkable purity that works continuously, going where it is needed most.
Students and practitioners consistently describe it as deeply peaceful, powerfully transformative, and gently yet profoundly healing.
All classes taught by Kathleen Lovenbury carry this lineage — transmitted directly through the ICRT, the world's largest Reiki organization.
